ABOUT ME

I'm a digital media veteran who's specialized in newsletters for the past ~5 years, with a focus on supporting successful news products through a user needs model, research and analytics.

In previous lives, I've been a writer and editor, with 10+ years experience working with writers on award-winning personal essays and creative nonfiction and teaching writing classes on topics from the personal essay to hauntology as a creative structure.

I've been working in digital spaces since the era of the blogosphere, through the rise and fall of the pivot to video, and now through the rise of the creator economy as traditional media models prove less and less sustainable. I've worked at organizations like Autostraddle, Study Hall, and The Marshall Project, along with countless freelance clients and individual writers and creators.

I'm based in the Boston area, where I spend my time outside of work watching horror movies, shooting vintage film cameras (insufferable, I know), and defending the T against its many detractors.
